Hello

Welcome to the start of my (hopefully) year long experiment.

Over the last few years I have found myself writing less and less. There are a number of reasons for this, but a lack of something definite to focus on has been a major one.

A number of years ago I had a small project on an old blog where I would write a micro fiction story a day and I found it motivated me greatly and I’m still pleased with most of what I wrote during that time. So I have decided I need something else with regular deadlines to keep me honest.

To that end, welcome to A Ghost Story a Week.

I have only ever written one ghost story before, you’ll find that listed as Story 0, because while it does not count towards the aims of this blog, I felt it deserved a home here too.

The other, not so secret, aim of this blog is to see if I can write a great ghost story. If I keep to schedule I will have 52 chances.

The current plan is to post a new story every Sunday so that there’s a little something to read before bed and the new week begins.

I will also write up a little behind the scenes blog, probably to be posted on a Wednesday, just with a few tidbits on how each story came to be.

So, there you go. The site is now live, the stories will begin posting on Sunday 5th of January 202.
